Most women love to receive candy especially when they have a holiday occasion, dare I say...excuse, to indulge. From wonderful decadent gourmet chocolates to old fashioned candies many woman will not withhold themselves at least a tiny bit when presented with such a delight.

A very fun candy idea that will take you back down memory lane with your high schoool sweetheart is that of retro candy. These old fashioned candy baskets have become quite popular among the baby boomer crowd and are sure to delight and bring some laughter into the evening.

With Valentine's Day coming soon, now is your time to pull out all the stops and surprise your love with romantic Valentines gifts - sweet chocolates that melt in her mouth, lovely lingerie, beautiful scented candles and a piece of sparkly jewelry to match. She will be loving you something fierce before the evening is over.

If your beautiful girl cannot eat sweets for one reason or another, but she does love the taste, there are actually some super sugar free options available when it comes to buying online gift baskets these days. There are even websites that sell baskets of candies for diabetics and of course there is always the standby fruit basket if she is not into chocolates. This can be especially a good option because much of the delicious fruit will be off season at your local market at this time of year.

A good alternative to candy and chocolates might be a cookie gift basket if you have someone in your life that adores good old cookies and milk. You can find pretty much any type of cookie when looking for special these days. Options are plentiful!

We do not want to neglect the men when it comes to Valentine's Day or candies! While you could probably find a really super sports gift basket to get your man, some would also gladly "share" in a box of chocolates with you. This could be an option if you are short on ideas there.
